Summary
The Department of Academic Technologies is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Specialist with a diverse skill set spanning digital and analog technologies. As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of AV tasks, including operating, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting audiovisual equipment.
This position is located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX and is Onsite.
Job Duties
- Operates audio-video equipment - both digital and analog, high-definition and standard definition, including, but not limited to: projectors, computers, videocameras, lighting equipment, audio gear, tele-prompters, and video editing software as needed to deliver successful audio-visual communication andpresentation activities.
- Operates remote, web-based lecture capture technology to include Teams and Zoom video conferencing and audio conferencing.
- Provides basic PC and MAC support.
- Provides technical support services to various BCM stakeholders requesting input on audiovisual communication.
- Troubleshoots and remedies basic issues of audiovisual and computer equipment.
- Reviews the Service Now AV reservation system for upcoming events requiring AV technology support. Inputs data to create reservations as needed; inputsdata as needed for miscellaneous AV support requests.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in audio visual technology, electronics, television and radio, education technology, or a related field.
- AVIXA, CTS preferred or similar certification.
- PC skills are a must.
