Summary

Baylor College of Medicine is looking to hire a Coordinator, Program Management to support its Academic Advising Program. This is an exciting new program, and this position offers abundant growth opportunities.

 

In this position, you will serve as a coordinator for the Pre-and Post-Matriculation Academic Support initiatives within the Office of Student Affairs in the School of Medicine. You will work with the Lead of the Academic Advising program as well as Sr. Associate Dean and faculty within the Student Affairs office. 

Job Duties

  • Assists with the management and maintenance of SOM academic support program web pages and Blackboard site.
  • Receives and responds to all requests for information regarding program(s).
  • Participates in planning and developing methods for program implementation and administration. 
  • Assists with training and oversight of student tutors. 
  • Schedules or coordinates tutoring sessions, trainings, evaluations, planning meetings, including securing room reservations and inviting faculty, facilitators, and learners.
  • Establishes and maintains trainee records.
  • Creates, monitors, and tracks documentation of training and educational activities; may assist with grade or evaluation submission.
  • Manages workflow for student employees, submitting time sheets and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
  • Creates check requests, processes purchase orders, submits reimbursements and orders supplies. 
  • Provides administrative support for the Academic Support faculty and staff, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, preparing correspondence, answering phones, or greeting visitors.
  • Manages study materials and equipment for the academic support program, annual distribution of study aids and other academic support tools, including check-out/return.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of two years of experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Administrative support experience in higher education.
