Job Purpose

This is a part-time position working on average six hours per week.  The Center for Medical Ethics & Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an Ethics Grand Rounds Coordinator to provide administrative support to the inter-institutional grand rounds program within the Center's robust clinical ethics program.

Job Duties

  • Oversees the administrative aspects of the Center’s grand rounds program.
  • Creates, monitors, and tracks documentation of training and educational activities for accreditation (CME, CNE, Social Work CPE, etc.).
  • Schedules and maintains the annual calendar for clinical educational programing.
  • Coordinates speaker invitations, conference room reservations, and A/V needs.
  • Receives and responds to all request for information regarding ethics grand rounds.
  • Establishes and maintains event records including recordings, minutes, attendance, presentations, notes, and evaluations.
  • Facilitates steering committee and clinical ethics education meetings including calendar coordination, agenda development, and action items.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of relevant work experience in a professional, academic, or hospital related setting.
  • Event management or program coordination experience is helpful.
  • Knowledge and experience with CME/CNE accreditation.
  • Will require occasional flexibility in scheduling for after-hours Grand Rounds.
  • Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. 
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
