Title: Coordinator, Patient Support Services
Summary
The Section of General Internal Medicine is seeking a Patient Support Services Coordinator who will be responsible for coordination of patients at our San Felipe Primary Care Clinic, including front desk activities, scheduling patient appointments, maintaining patient records, entering orders for patient tests. This individual will manage and coordinate patient referrals, as well as provide administrative support for physicians as need.
Job Duties
- Assists with Front Desk activities including patient check-in and check-out.
- Coordinates patient scheduling and referral loops.
- Manages clinical administrative documentation including patient faxes and forms.
- Coordinates with health care facilities for patient surgeries, tests, or procedures.
- Assembles medical records and insurance information for patient appointments.
- Assists with insurance pre-authorizations or issues.
- Provides administrative support for physicians as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Customer Service experience.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
- Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
