Summary

The Pediatrics - Hematology & Oncology - Cell Therapy division is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations who will assist physicians and research faculty with day-to-day operations at Baylor College of Medicine and affiliate, Texas Childrens Hospital. This position requires a dependable professional-minded individual who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Candidate must be a quick learner and able to work in a multi-faceted environment. 

Job Purpose

Provide support to the department by processing purchasing orders, managing travel, maintaining calendars, and composing correspondence.

Job Duties

  • Works in conjunction with other assistants to ensure efficient administrative functions for the Center.
  • Responsible for learning TCH's applications and administrative processes.
  • Works as a go-to resource for physicians and research faculty members.
  • Must be able to work in a restricted and standard operating procedures driven GMP Laboratory environment.
  • Assists faculty and physicians with administrative needs.
  • Prepares and process purchasing orders.
  • Manages domestic and international travel in the travel management system (Concur).
  • Composes formal and informal correspondence including, but not limited to, creating and formatting presentations.
  • Calendar scheduling and maintenance.
  • Assists with travel arrangements and approvals (BCM & TCH) as needed.
  • Assists with timekeeping.
  • Submits expenses for reimbursement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with clinical environments and or/clinical research.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
