The Center for Comparative Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is looking to hire a Coordinator, Business Operations.


As a Coordinator, Business Operations, you will provide support to the department of CCM by coordinating the HR functions and business processes, processing personnel related transactions, and liaising with central departments.


It is essential that the candidate have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as collaboration with peers and all levels of management is necessary to fulfill the duties of this role.


This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Job Duties

  • Coordinates the day to day business and Human Resource functions for the department.
  • Processes personnel-related transactions in SuccessFactors; coordinates with Human Resources as required.
  • Submits positions for approval through the position management process.
  • Schedules interviews on behalf of the hiring managers.
  • Receives, verifies, processes and submits all of CCM Supplemental payments.
  • Assists with onboarding Vet Services and staff.
  • Prepares onboarding materials for new hires.
  • Coordinates department meetings, events, retreats, and other functions.
  • Pulls various reports as requested.
  • Provides additional support to staff as needed.
  • Cross-trains on business office procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Manages Postdoc appointments and renewals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; a relevant bachelor's degree and no experience may be considered.
  • SAP experience.
  • SuccessFactors experience.
