Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology at Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join the Retrovirology Service as a Coordinator, Business Operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering the highest level of comprehensive administrative support to HIV-infected and -exposed infants, children and adolescents, to adolescents and young adults seeking PrEP and to international adoptee's and their families.


Fluency in English and Spanish is essential for this role.

Job Duties

  • Provides front office coverage and makes independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks. 
  • Manages switchboard and triages callers depending on their needs.
  • Submits travel expenses and processes reimbursements for faculty. 
  • Prepares and edits correspondence, credentialing, and other supportive functions for faculty. 
  • Coordinates and schedules clinic visits, and contacts patients for reminder appointments.
  • Assists in scheduling training rotations, or events for learners. 
  • Places orders, processes check requests, and makes deposits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • A relevant bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of one year of experience.
