The Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, is looking to recruit a an enthusiastic and reliable Coordinator for day to day business operations for Dr. Jason Mills and Dr. Indira Mysorekar. The candidate will be located at Main Baylor and work alongside the Principle Investigators and research team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to visitors. The position is Monday to Friday, full time with 40 hours weekly.


This is a highly interactive position requiring attention to detail, initiative, organization and great time management skills.  

Job Duties

  • Provide support to Dr. Mills and Dr. Mysorekar daily laboratory, including supporting PI and team requests.
  • Organize and manage office suite area, including restocking of supplies.
  • Create shopping carts in SAP for PO (purchase order) creation and manage PO in SAP for financial reconciliation. 
  • Work directly with vendor and Baylor Finance Team on invoicing.  
  • Submit reimbursements in Concur, managing PCARD report and reconciliation. 
  • Maintain calendar, schedule meetings, and organize itinerary for visitors, escorting them to appointments. 
  • Manage timekeeping for the research team personnel.
  • Manage events and meetings, including creating itinerary, arranging catering/room reservation and working with external guests.
  • Assist with supply/equipment delivery, including asset management and working on inspection/troubleshooting with facilities. 
  • Compose correspondence for both PIs and format presentations.
  • Maintain signature profile and other relevant webpages, including website with lab event. 
  • Manage communication for both labs, including policy/event updates, newsletters, accomplishments, and more.
  • Maintain CVs for Drs. Mysorekar and Mills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and no experience may also be considered.
  • MS Outlook and Word
