The Coordinator, Business Operations is responsible for the administrative support for faculty in the Cancer and Hematology Centers in the Department of Pediatrics. They will work with other team members and faculty in administratively supporting clinical and research faculty including processing purchase orders, managing travel, maintaining calendars, and maintaining correspondence.  The specific tasks are aligned with the rest of the administrative assistants/business operations coordinators who support faculty in the Cancer Center. This team is responsible for the administrative support in the Cancer Center for our 200+ faculty. 

Job Duties

  • Prepare and maintain clinical schedules for hematology teams Scheduling Meetings (in person and virtual)
  • Manage onboarding for new faculty and staff
  • Maintain calendars and ordering officer supplies
  • Escort visitors
  • Maintain licenses, memberships, expiration notifications, renewals and reimbursements
  • Pull and maintain journal articles
  • Work with faculty to coordinate orders, supplies, PO creation and subscriptions
  • Prepare and maintain CVs
  • Track reports and CME requirements for conferences
  • Track and maintain project lists for faculty
  • Provoide symposium and/or conference support for faculty participating in conferences
  • Order textbooks
  • Manage incoming calls and scheduling meetings
  • Coordinate journal clubs for hematology faculty
  • Coordinate tumor boards for neuro-oncology faculty

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Science, Business Administration or Public Health
  • Two years of related experience (administrative, research or financial)
