Job Purpose

Assists five tenured and tenure track faculty, their respective lab personnel, director and/or administrator at the DNRI in a variety of administrative duties such as planning, assigning and reviewing the work of employees as well as coordinating and administering policies and procedures.

Job Duties
  • Provide administrative support to basic science research department by providing reception services, scheduling appointments, meetings, travel, filing, preparing and proofreading correspondence, and other documents as requested.
  • Help to organize and conduct events, as directed, by reserving meeting rooms, catering (set-up and clean-up), preparing invitations, announcements, agendas, brochures, making travel arrangements and reservations, and assisting with the event as it occurs.
  • Support the administrative business functions of the department by organizing the faculty CVs, updating bio-sketches.
  • Coordinate with the main office with grant submissions
  • Reconcile Purchasing (P-Card) and Corporate Cards transactions.

  • Place lab and administrative orders
  • Reconciling invoices/accounts
  • Meet with faculty to discuss budgets and financial reports with Departmental Finance Team

Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required: Two years of relevant experience.
