Title: Coordinator, Business Operations
Summary
The Division of Cardiology is seeking an enthusiastic Coordinator, Business Operations. This position ensures continuity of day-to-day operations and requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate will possess collaborative personal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an eagerness to learn and grow. This position will also be responsible for marketing material on social media platforms (LinkedIN and Twitter), as well as updating Cardiology's website.
Job Duties
• Maintains and updates faculty calendars to include all relevant events such as travel, meetings, service and call dates.
• Schedules and coordinates meetings.
• Makes travel arrangements and processes travel reimbursements.
• Submits and processes check requests for reimbursement.
• Schedules patient referrals for faculty.
• Receives sorts and distributes mail.
• Processes and maintains licensure and certification renewals for faculty.
• Assists in scheduling and coordinating cardiac tests and procedures, including obtaining pre-authorization for these tests and procedures.
• Obtains patient referrals for clinic visits and cardiac testing.
• Coordinates out of town patient visits, which entails assisting with medical record requests, pre-testing order entry, scheduling appointments and post-visit referrals or other testing.
• Triages patient calls to schedule appointments and transfers calls to appropriate person for medical questions/issues. Responds promptly and accurately to patient calls, complaints, inquiries, and requests.
• Reconciles billing for faculty to identify any missing charges.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Clinical knowledge.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Concur.
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking).
