Summary
The Department of Medicine is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to provide support for the Sections of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine at Ben Taub Hospital. This role is responsible for ensuring daily business operations are executed, including overseeing provider credentialling, maintaining clinic schedules, and day-to-day administrative and faculty support.
Position is located in the Texas Medical Center at Ben Taub. This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after an initial training period.
Job Duties
- Supports the day-to-day operations of the service lines at Ben Taub.
- Serves as the primary credentialling contact for BCM providers at Harris Health including BaylorMedCare credentialling, including the tracking of credentialling status, initial credentialling, and re-credentialling.
- Maintains schedules in QGenda
- Processes supplemental payments for faculty for moonlighting and other additional assignments.
- Manages death certificate process via TxEVER system.
- Provides administrative support and IT support to faculty and Harris Health program.
- Maintains the website and online faculty profiles for Harris Health faculty.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrate ahigh degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
