Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Margaret M. and Albert B. Alkek Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations to support the section’s missions of education, research, and patient care. This role is responsible for daily business operations, including provider credentialing, maintaining provider schedules, and providing day-to-day administrative support. The position requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Provides day-to-day operational support of the Baylor Medicine Service Lines in Gastroenterology.
  • Leads provider credentialing including BaylorMedCare credentialing, including the tracking of credentialing status, initial credentialing, and re-credentialing.
  • Assists in the section's annual board course.
  • Organizes meetings, prepares agendas, and takes meeting minutes and action items.
  • Audits provider billing and compliance.
  • Processes supplemental payments for faculty for moonlighting and other additional assignments.
  • Provides administrative support to the Medical Directors.
  • Provides administrative support to faculty including processing reimbursements, travel requests, and ordering of supplies. 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Credentialing experience.
