Summary
The Division of Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgery is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-time Coordinator, Business Operations to support its financial and operational functions. This role is essential in ensuring smooth administrative processes and expanding outreach efforts. Responsibilities include coordinating insurance verification and approvals, supporting marketing initiatives, and analyzing referral patterns to identify opportunities for growth and strengthen relationships with referring physicians.
Job Duties
• Serves as the point of contact for all Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) patients and provides oversight of business development for an adult cardiac which includes outreach tasks to increase physician referrals, network integrity, referral capture, social media and marketing initiatives. – 30%
• Oversees insurance process for the Division of Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgery through insurance verification of consult, studies and surgical approval – 15%
• Drafts, organizes and sends out letters for referring physicians – 15%
• Manages faculty credentialing, reappointments, licenses renewals. – 10%
• Reviews and ensures budget control by managing faculty CME, travel and concur expense reports. Assist Division Administrator with budget development – 10%
• Takes inventory of clinic supplies and order supplies as needed and order accordingly – 5%
• Ensures Division Faculty ongoing research protocols are kept up to date through training, re-credentialing – 5%
• Coordinates meetings, events, retreats, and other functions. – 5%
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned. – 5%
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
