Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an intermediate level Compensation professional. Responsibilities include salary administration, job classification, position management and other compensation activities related to Baylor College of Medicine’s Compensation program.  The ideal candidate should have prior experience working in HR Compensation, strong analytical and communication skills with the ability and flexibility to work independently and as a team.


This position is a hybrid remote position. The selected candidate is expected to work in office two days a week and remotely three days a week upon the completion of training.

Job Duties

  • Advises Departments on compensation programs and interprets applicable federal/state employment laws and BCM compensation policies and practices.
  • Reviews and provides salary guidance in accordance with Baylor College of Medicine policies and practices.
  • Participates in annual salary surveys and maintains vendor relationships.
  • Participates in annual benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Evaluates new and existing positions to determine appropriate classification prior to posting in the Talent Acquisition System.
  • Reviews and approves requests for reclassification reviews.
  • Drafts new job descriptions and maintains job description data base.
  • Reviews and approve compensation related transactions in SuccessFactors.
  • Reviews employment agreements to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Participates in special projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.  
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in Health Care or Higher Education.
  • Experience working with complex salary survey submissions.
  • Experience working with market pricing tools.
  • Job Architecture design. 


  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills..
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability and flexibility to work independently or as a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.
