The Communications and Corporate Affairs Associate will support the department initiative and assist in advancing the mission and projects. The position will focus on alumni relations, marketing and promotion, media/content creation and philanthropic efforts. The position will work in close collaboration with the BCM Marketing Brand Manager to ensure continuity with our Intuitional Marketing Strategy and Brand Standards.

Job Duties

  • Maintains social media accounts and posts.
  • Assists with planning alumni and student engagement programs and events.
  • Maintains relationships with alumni and corporate contacts, including the alumni executive committee members.
  • Manages departmental content in line with the College’s web standards.
  • Is responsible for day-to-day management of the department social media accounts, with guidance from the Office of Communications and Community Outreach.
  • Participates in the development of communication and marketing strategies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing skills (will be writing letters to alumni, creating content posts, etc.)
  • Experience in organizing fundraising events
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, with specific emphasis on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook
  • Experience with media management and editing (examples include FinalCut Pro, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Research experience (study successful similar ventures and adapt to our department’s needs)
  • Background or knowledge of marketing tools and reaching an audience
  • Experience with organizing online webinars/conferences
