Title: Clinical Psychologist (Assistant Professor) - West Campus
Summary
There is a great unmet need for outpatient mental health assessment and psychotherapy services for children and adolescents throughout the Houston community. The COVID-19 pandemic has only added to the number of youth struggling with common mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, disruptive behavior, and trauma. Just as in medicine, efficient and effective assessment and psychotherapy services follow the guiding principles of evidence-based care and measurement-based treatment planning.
We propose to hire clinical psychologists to be located at West Campus, who would spend the majority of their time in direct patient care, but also provide oversight of diagnostic assessment and psychotherapy services conducted within the community-based mental health programs.
