Title: Clinical Operations Associate
Summary
Oversees, manages, and leads process improvement and engineering, technology management and planning activities related to patient experience, business development and telehealth to ensure that current and long-term business goals meet strategic planning goals. Works as part of the business strategy and development team on new initiatives, supports existing programs and prioritizes patient experience and technology.
The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in process engineering or process improvement and experience as a patient navigator or patient advocate. Additionally, experience in EPIC electronic medical records and exposure to Lean Six Sigma is helpful.
Job Duties
- Develops, manages, and controls a variety of data.
- Establishes operational systems to monitor, control, and verify experience data and carry out analyses.
- Analyzes, translates and trends data to drive policy and strategic planning.
- Acts as the day-to-day contact for EMR and IT.
- Ensures the ongoing review and development of process improvements to maximize business productivity.
- Formulates policies and guidelines for patient experience and faculty engagement department planning.
- May assist with or manage special projects.
- Utilizes process-engineering skills to identify waste and pain points in existing workflows.
- Selects and implements appropriate process improvement efforts.
- Liaises with patient access, IT and Epic build teams.
- Works with clinical enterprise stakeholders at many levels from practice managers to chairs and upper management in the centralized administrative arm.
- Develops performance improvement plans in all areas of patient experience, translates data analysis to actionable items, and monitors progress.
- As part of the business strategy team, works to foster potential clients/patients interest in specialized service lines to enhance the patient journey and test new services for scalability across the larger clinical enterprise.
- Provides technical expertise regarding both EMR and patient experience databases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in related field.
- Five to eight years related experience.
- EPIC experience.
- Lean Six Sigma experience.
