Title:  CHofSA Pediatrics - Cardiology (Assistant Professor)

The Section of Pediatric Cardiology of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full-time faculty position at Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package.  The rank of the appointment will be determined by the candidates’ credentials and experience.

Clinical duties include patient care responsibilities and outpatient clinic at Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.  Faculty teaching responsibilities include direct clinical supervision of medical students, residents, Fellows, and other students in related fields (e.g., nursing students, dietary students, pharmacy students), who observe the physician directly in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.  Applicants are encouraged to email a CV and a cover letter to Dr. Elumalai Appachi at Elumalai.Appachi@bcm.edu 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• M.D. degree 
• Related experience required 

• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).

• Board certification in General Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
