Job Purpose

Oversees, manages, and leads day-to-day business operations to ensure that current and long-term business goals are met. This person will be the coordinating link between Global and international/local sites and collaborators. Maintains good and consistent communication and working relationship with all team members.

Job Duties
  • Researches private foundation grant opportunities, writes and prepares grant proposals to support special projects. Tracks private foundation budgets and milestones. Writes/submits progress reports.
  • Works with Communication to manage Global and VP of Global information on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and BCM website about specific project activity
  • Plans and manages meetings with foreign delegations, council members and collaborators. Acts as programmatic link between Global and these members/collaborators. 
  • Plans travel and creates timelines and agendas for Global team to international sites and visa versa (meaning delegations/collaborators visiting Houston)
  • Frequently travels to international and local sites.
  • Creates special project checklist for all teams. Provides reports to leadership on project progress.
  • Identifies institutions/collaborators who we need to contract with, drafts and submits MOUs.
  • Networks to vet partners and consultants. Impeccable relationship and organization skills to maintain strong and positive working teams.
  • Manages duties for the Annual Report and Annual Staff Retreat
  • Develops work plans and timelines, facilitate project and sponsor meetings. 
  • Assists management in special project budget/expenses management and tracking. 
  • Keeps all sites/collaborators on track and influences them to meet milestones. 
  • Assist Engineer in deployment of SmartPod to sites - works with customs broker, identify site needs for pick-up/deliver of SmartPod (cranes, trucks, scheduling, working with Port Authority, etc.), and final destination logistics (transportation, hook-up to energy source, etc.)
  • Assists management in special program contracts and MOU by working with partners/collaborators/consultants on Statements of Work 
  • Assists Architect, Manufacturer, and Engineer in layout of clinical SmartPods
  • Assist with medical equipment solutions and pricing for SmartPods
  • Assist VP of Global with publishing of manuscripts
  • Hire, mentor and manage interns and potentially future junior staff.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree.
  • Required: Two years of relevant experience.
