Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Business Operations Associate for the Hematology/Vas/Sickle Cell program will be responsible for programmatic initiatives that improve care coordination, transition planning, and patient engagement for children with Hematology/Vas/Sickle Cell diseases. This role leads the day-to-day execution of projects, manages timelines and communication across interdisciplinary stakeholders, and ensures the delivery of clinical and family-centered program goals. In addition to project oversight, the position supports data tracking, documentation, and coordination of events and outreach. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and collaborative individual who thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced healthcare environment. This role functions as a project manager.

 

This position may offer the flexbility of a hybrid work arrangement after an initial onboarding period.

Job Duties

Program and Project Management (35%)

Serves as the Business Operations Associate for ongoing initiatives within the Hem/Vas/Sickle Cell Programs, including care access, transition, and education efforts. Develops and manages project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure initiatives are completed on time and aligned to program goals.

Stakeholder Communication and Coordination (25%) 

Coordinates meetings, workgroups, and communication across clinical and administrative stakeholders (including faculty, nurses, social workers, and program leadership). Prepares agendas, records action items, and monitors follow-up to ensure alignment and momentum.

Event and Logistics Support (15%)

Leads planning and execution of internal and external program events, such as patient/family outreach, education sessions, and stakeholder planning meetings. Coordinates schedules, materials, communications, and on-site logistics in collaboration with clinical and administrative partners.

Data Entry and Tracking (15%)

Supports program outcome tracking and internal monitoring of care coordination metrics. Partners with clinical and data teams to assist with data entry, maintain documentation, and compile summary reports used for internal planning and external updates.

Documentation and Program Tools Management (10%)

Maintains shared documents, SOPs, and project templates to support consistent workflows across initiatives. Manages shared folders and tracking tools to ensure organization and accessibility. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. 
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in project or program coordination.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and tracking tools.
