Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced program specialist to serve as the dedicated Business Operations Associate for the 340B program within the Cancer & Hematology Center. This role is accountable for the program’s operational, financial, and compliance performance, with responsibility for procurement, policy education, program income management, and reporting. The position partners cross-functionally to execute program activities while establishing standardized workflows and controls. This role requires a high level of independence and is critical to ensuring program integrity, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability.
Job Duties
- Serves as the primary owner and operator of day-to-day 340B program functions, with direct responsibility for executing core operational, financial, and compliance activities.
- Leads and performs program compliance activities, including HRSA requirements, OPAIS registration/recertification, and SOP development and maintenance.
- Executes detailed financial operations, including program income tracking, accounts receivable review, A/R uploads, reconciliation, and alignment of revenue to appropriate program accounts.
- Manages program financial reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (e.g., grant/program income reporting) and support strategic financial planning.
- Performs claims review and auditing activities, including monitoring pending and denied claims and coordinating resolution with contract pharmacies.
- Supports audit readiness and compliance infrastructure, including internal and external audit preparation and maintenance of required documentation.
- Coordinates and support contract and compliance processes, including vendor and grantee contract review workflows and LOA/MOU alignment.
- Manages procurement and supply chain activities, including PO creation/management, invoice processing, and vendor account maintenance.
- Develops and deliver staff education related to 340B policies and program requirements.
- Facilitates monthly program review and strategic planning activities, including development of materials, financial analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Supports financial and operational analyses, including ROI evaluation for new contract pharmacy opportunities and program growth initiatives.
- Identifies gaps in workflows and ownership and independently develop, implement, and execute solutions to improve program efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinates cross-functional activities with Pharmacy, Finance, Legal, SPO, and clinical stakeholders while retaining accountability for driving work to completion.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare operations, financial management, program management, or related field.
• Experience with 340B programs, healthcare compliance, or program income/grant financial oversight strongly preferred.
• Experience working with Pharmacy, Finance, and clinical operations in a healthcare setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with reporting tools (Excel, Power BI) preferred.
