Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

A Bioinformatics Analyst position is available at Texas Children's Cancer Center, Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine for Bioinformatics focused on cancer immunotherapy. We offer outstanding state-of-the-art, recently expanded facilities and a highly interactive basic, translational and clinical research environment.

 

In this position, you will work alongside clinicians and research scientists with diverse backgrounds, including other bioinformaticians and computational biologists, molecular biologists, tumor immunologists, oncologists, pathologists, and surgeons. You will be involved in bioinformatics research and its applications to cutting-edge pediatric cancer immunotherapy. This work is expected to include analysis of bulk and single-cell DNA, RNA, and protein expression data, including both cell suspension profiles and spatial profiles. Duties include data processing, statistical analyses, network analyses, and data visualization. Projects include a wide spectrum from pure bioinformatics to pre-clinical projects and early phase clinical trials administered by our cancer immunology program.

 

This position is available at the Center of Advanced Innate Cell Therapy, Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center, Department of Pediatrics. The position will provide bioinformatics support for multiple clinical and pre-clinical projects focused on the development and clinical testing of novel forms of cancer immmunotherpy. 

Job Duties

  • Involved in bioinformatics research and its applications to cutting-edge pediatric cancer immunotherapy.
  • Analysis of bulk and single-cell DNA, RNA, and protein expression data, including both cell suspension profiles and spatial.
  • Duties include data processing, statistical analyses, network analyses, and data visualization.
  • Projects include a wide spectrum from pure bioinformatics to pre-clinical projects and early phase clinical trials administered by our cancer immunology program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • One years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computational sciences or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience in analyzing.
