Summary

The Bioinformatician Analyst plays a critical role in the interpretation and analysis of complex biological data related to genomics, proteomics, and other biomedical data. This position calls for an individual who can collaborate effectively with scientists, researchers, and other stakeholders, turning data into valuable insights that drive biological and biomedical research.

Job Duties

  • Analyzing and interpreting complex biological datasets: Using a combination of computational methods and a deep understanding of biology, you will translate large-scale biological datasets into clear, actionable insights for use in ongoing research.
  • Implementing computational tools and pipelines: While the primary focus of the role is research and analysis, a working knowledge of computational tools is required to ensure efficient and accurate data processing.
  • Ooccasionally be called upon to apply your understanding of these tools to aid in the analysis process.
  • Driving research advancement: Your work will directly contribute to our understanding of complex biological systems. 
  • By collaborating closely with researchers and providing them with comprehensive data analyses, you will be integral to the advancement of biological and biomedical research.
  • Keeping up with recent scientific literature and technologies: You will stay abreast of the latest developments in genomics, proteomics, and other relevant fields, integrating new knowledge and methodologies into your analysis as appropriate.
  • Communicating findings: As an expert in bioinformatics, you will interpret and communicate complex biological data to non-specialists, facilitating a deeper understanding and helping to guide research efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
