Summary

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is seeking a part-time Audiologist. The candidate will work closely with our team of audiologists and otology providers, who diagnose, manage, and treat disorders of hearing and balance in adults. Our outpatient audiology/otology clinic provides a wide range of diagnostic services, including comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid services, bone conduction implant services, cochlear implant services, and vestibular assessments.

 

 

Job Duties

  • Administers and interprets basic hearing evaluations and assessments.
  • Administers and interprets some special hearing evaluations and assessments.
  • Conveys test results and adapts explanation to patient and refers patient to specialized facilities, if necessary.
  • Opportunity to administer and interpret vestibular assessments
  • Maintains and calibrates equipment.
  • Maintains professional certification by meeting all continuing education requirements.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Audiology.
  • No experience required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Texas State Licensure as an Audiologist from the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
