Summary
Job Purpose

Performs duties for Orthopedic Surgery in assessing, preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical injuries. Serves as patient liaison and community educator.

 

Job Duties
  • Facilitates prevention evaluation and immediate care, and rehabilitation of injuries.
  • Serves a as liaison with schools and therapy clinics concerning patient status.
  • Participates in Sports Medicine talks to area Athletic Trainers, Coaches, Parents, and Community.
  • Maintains website and database.
  • Performs clerical duties such as inventory and order clinic supplies, answer patient questions, MRI callbacks to patients, and writing letters of Medical Necessity.
  • Responsible for delivery and pick up of charts and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Required: One year of relevant experience.
  • Required: State Licensed Athletic Trainer by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.
