Summary

The Baylor College of Medicine Advanced Heart Failure/Heart Transplant Center of Excellence is expanding and seeks to add a staff cardiologist at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The Center is located at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, home of the Texas Heart Institute. The successful applicant will join an experienced team of cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons at Baylor's nationally recognized heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation program. He/She will attend on the inpatient heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation service at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center and practice in the Baylor Heart Clinic. Research and leadership opportunities are available, depending on experience and interest.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have an M.D. degree, be ABIM board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Applicants must also qualify for a full and unrestricted Texas medical license. The ideal candidate will have interest and expertise quality assessment, performance improvement and heart failure outcomes research.  A record of excellence in education and clinical care clinical is expected.
