Summary

The Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology section is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a critical role.

•         Reports to Section Chief, Cardiology 

•         Partners with section leadership and other interdisciplinary leaders for operational, strategic, and quality initiatives related to the Echocardiography (Echo) and Imaging Program.

•         Partners with hospital leaders at the Medical Center (and community partner sites as applicable) to develop the Echocardiography (Echo) and Imaging Program.

This position assists the Section Chief in providing medical and strategic leadership as well as oversight for the Echocardiography (Echo) and Imaging Program.  Overall responsibility for ensuring high quality, efficient, coordinated care for Heart Center patients. 

Operations and Infrastructure

Works with administrative leaders to develop staff and systems for optimal patient flow and scheduling of studies.

Fianancial Management & Planning

•         Contributes to the planning for an annual activity budget and provider coverage model as well as strategic planning for clinical service growth.

•         Actively works with administrative leadership to contain costs by evaluating activity, financial performance including revenue and expense, identifying areas for improvement, and devising action plans for fiscal responsibility.

Business Development

Works with the Cardiology Section Chief on new business developments and innovations for Echocardiography (Echo) and Imaging.

Academic and Educational

Contributes to the educational advancement of faculty and trainees within the section.

Job Qualifications:

Requirements include the completion of a 3 year Cardiology fellowship and an additional 4th year fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging.  Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
