Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics and Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking applicants for a lead clinical position in Pediatric Cardiology at the West Campus of Texas Children’s Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity in the West part of Houston in Katy, a vibrant and productive community, with excellent schools, new home developments and social life. 

This campus includes an emergency center, inpatient units, pediatric intensive care unit, operating rooms, and multiple therapies, staffed with all pediatric subspecialties. In addition, the professional building accommodates general pediatric and subspecialty clinics. The cardiology clinic has 3 echocardiography rooms with 3 full time sonographers, including fetal cardiology evaluations. 

Job Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will spend most of his or her time at the West Campus but will also be provided opportunities to be integrated into the clinical and academic program at Texas Children’s Main Campus and Baylor College of Medicine. All educational, quality and clinical meetings are televised to all locations and integrative technology is available for live participation. 

Job Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have completed 3 years of fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology, be Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology and possess 5-10 years of professional experience in the field of Pediatric Cardiology. Additional post- specialist training will be an advantage. He or she will be appointed as an assistant or associate professor within Baylor College of Medicine, depending on qualifications, experience and track-record.
