The Section of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking qualified physician scientists at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants with external research funding in vaccine studies or experience working in vaccine research in human subjects are strongly preferred.





Job Duties

  • Inpatient rounding at Ben Taub Hospital on the General Infectious Diseases and/or Immunocompromised Infectious Diseases consult service.
  • Outpatient clinic in the Thomas Street Health Center and/or Northwest Health Center or other Harris Health System clinics providing HIV care or general infectious diseases care.
  • Conducting clinical research with the Vaccine Research Center and the NIH-funded Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit at Baylor College of Medicine.
  • Teach/mentor/supervise medical students, residents and fellows.
  • 1-2 scholarly publications a year.
  • Active participation in section, department, and health system conferences.
