The psychologist will work to support programming related to the TCHATT program supported by the Texas Child Mental Health Consortium. This will include clinical supervision, direct service, data collection/management, and stakeholder liaison.

Job Duties

•    Provides clinical services through TCHATT program, which involves time-limited cognitive behavioral therapy into the schools.
•    Provides clinical supervision to TCHATT therapy team involving social workers and therapists.
•    Assesses client during initial contact, interviews clients and relatives to obtain relevant history of mental health concerns.
•    Develops treatment plans for patients to address their mental health concerns.
•    Provides school-based therapeutic interventions for mental health concerns.
•    Documents progress after client visits and maintains records.
•    Develops and follows data collection protocols.
•    Writes manuscripts for publication, and conducts research as appropriate.
•    Refers clients to appropriate agencies and physicians, as needed.
•    Serves as a liaison between psychiatry and psychological staff.
•    Complete required documentation and statistical reporting in a timely manner.
•    Attend center staff meetings as required.
•    Attend training classes or orientations as required by college.
•    Performs other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Required: Doctorate (Ph.D., Psy.D.) in Psychology. 
Experience Required: 1 year of directly related experience (which can include postdoctoral training); Experience in mental health administration, policies, and procedures; Understanding of governmental regulations, laws, programs, and agencies affecting trainee and faculty mental health including licensure.
Certification/Licenses/Registration Required: Licensure as a Psychologist or Professional Counselor by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists or the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, respectively.
