The Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor non tenure track in Breast Cancer Research with a joint membership in the Dan L Duncan Cancer Center (DLDCC). We are seeking outstanding candidates with a Ph.D or MD/Ph.D degree, who are pursuing cutting-edge research in Basic Breast Cancer Biology with an emphasis on cancer metabolism, tumor immunology, and DNA repair. This position will explore the role of EBP50 in endocrine and HER2 targeted therapies resistance and determining whether thyroid receptor beta could predict chemo sensitivity in TNBC. This further includes researching the involvement of miRNA in BCRP regulation in DICER overexpression or knockdown models.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning, execution, and analysis of all of the lab's novel therapeutic efforts, as well as training clinical and junior scientists in the lab, and overseeing all aspects of the daily operations of the group.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D.

Candidates with expertise in other areas that complementary to the research programs of current faculty will also be considered. Development or use of innovative technologies such as cutting-edge in vivo imaging or state-of-the-art single-cell technologies is valued. Candidates with a record of successful grant applications is preferred.
