There is a great unmet need for diagnostic assessment and psychological treatment services for children and adolescents in the Woodlands community who are struggling with common mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, disruptive behavior, and trauma.  Just as in medicine, efficient and effective assessment and psychotherapy services follow the guiding principles of evidence-based care and measurement-based treatment planning.   We propose to hire a clinical psychologist, who would spend the majority of his/her time in direct patient care, but also provide oversight of all diagnostic assessment and psychotherapy  serv

Job Duties

Patient Care activities include:

  • Utilize evidence-based screening and assessment tools to provide accurate diagnostic and conceptualization information to inform treatment planning.
  • Provide targeted, evidence-based psychotherapy intervention for patients presenting with mental health concerns.
  • Critically evaluate patient progress and outcomes through the use of validated measurement tools.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals involved in caring for patients with mental health needs.

Oversight includes activities such as:

  • Ensuring that screening, assessment and therapy services are evidence-based
  • Assessing clinician competencies and assisting with filling training gaps
  • Ensuring compliance with mental health-specific billing and documentation requirements
  • Supporting and aggregating outcome data
  • Leading team meetings
  • Providing consultation on an as-needed basis
