Baylor College of Medicine and Department Summary:

Legacy Tower houses new and expanded operating rooms, as well as a new pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) that spans four floors and 84 beds, including dedicated neurology ICU rooms, surgical ICU rooms, and a progressive care unit. The tower also has a helistop, allowing for even greater access to Texas Children’s for the most critically-ill patients. Our hospitals located in Houston Texas, provide Pediatric Emergency Centers staffed by physicians who are board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine; acute care inpatient units staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists; and intensive care units staffed by Pediatric Critical Care specialists. A large cohort of pediatric subspecialists provide inpatient and outpatient services at all locations (Main Campus, West Campus, and Woodlands).

Job Responsibilities:

With a proposed CART of 100% clinical effort, this faculty member will serve as a neonatal neurologist at Main Campus – Legacy Tower location. This candidate will provide service in our inpatient NICU, Neurology Critical Care and other Critical Care service units requesting neurology consults. The candidate will also have outpatient responsibilities for NICU patients. 

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: M.D. or equivalent. 
  • Minimum Certification/Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board; obtainable upon hire offer 
  • Board certified/eligible
