Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Coordinator, Materials Management. The ideal candidate for this position will excel in a professional environment that encompasses a wide range of operational responsibilities. This role supports essential materials management functions, including the tracking and receiving of college shipments, as well as the delivery of freight, equipment, and supplies throughout the Texas Medical Center. The position provides an opportunity to strengthen and refine competencies in inventory control, logistics management systems, and fleet maintenance operations.
Job Duties
- Handles and maintains flow of material and products according to established guidelines.
- Delivers freight, equipment, and furniture to appropriate Baylor departments.
- Provides assistance to internal and external customers with item orders.
- Maintains inventory of products and packages.
- Tracks and documents the logistics of materials using computer software and scanners.
- Drives to different destinations to pick up or deliver packages.
- Performs other job-duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Certification/Licenses/Registration: Valid Texas Driver's License; clean driving record; three years of driving history in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Comfortability with standing and walking for an extended period of time.
- Experience utilizing material handling equipment.
