Title:  Assistant Coordinator, Business Operations

Summary

The Assistant Coordinator supports the Protocol Office of the Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Centers (TXCH) and the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy (CAGT). Specifically, the coordinator supports the Business Operations Specialist, Director of Protocol Office, Regulatory Affairs Groups, and Clinical Research Operations Staff. In this capacity, the coordinator processes, collects, files, and prepares a variety of clinical research documents and other related correspondence for faculty conducting clinical research TXCH and CAGT.

Job Duties

• Generates and maintains filing systems.
• Orders supplies for the department.
• Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Generates shipping labels as needed.
• Provides telephone coverage, which includes answering Telephones, routes calls appropriately, and takes messages when necessary.
• Provides clerical and data entry assistance.
• Delivers and collects documents for signature.
• Assists in collection and maintenance of central file documents (i.e. CVs, training documentation, licenses etc.).
• Guides New Employee tours.
• Assists with Protocol Office correspondence and notifications.
• Updates electronic data systems and handles electronic document upload and notifications.
• Entering of data as assigned.
• Copying as assigned.
• Assists with the maintenance of the master consent form binders.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency MS Outlook and Word.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience.
• Work experience in clinical research preferred.
• High sense of professional behavior and conduct and an ability to communicate with various levels of faculty and staff within Baylor College of Medicine and outside organizations.
• Must be physically able to transport documents and small packages to other locations in the Medical Center.
