Summary

Baylor Medicine Pathology is seeking a board certified/eligible Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join our collegial hospital-based team of three pathologists and two pathologist assistants serving four hospital campuses (380 beds total) and an ambulatory surgery center in the north Houston/Woodlands area.

 

Baylor Medicine Pathology is the community-based pathology practice of Baylor College of Medicine, and the member of our team will be a part of an academic community comprising multiple subspecialty disciplines within the Texas Medical Center and greater Houston region. The pathologist will provide all diagnostic support in accordance with both the Department handbook and the BCM Faculty handbook

Job Duties

  • General surgical pathology and cytopathology sign-out with light call, minimal gross examination, and no autopsies.
  • Rotational coverage of on-site and off-site scheduled frozen sections.
  • Rotational coverage of minimal clinical pathology duties including peripheral smear reviews and transfusion medicine oversight.

Minimum Qualifications

  • AP/CP board certified or eligible.
  • Eligible for Texas medical license.
  • Experience is preferred, but new trainees are welcome.
