Salary Range:  $47,372 - $55,731
FLSA Status:  Nonexempt
Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Coordinator, Business Operations plays a key role in supporting the BCM Auxiliary Services Department by providing high‑quality clerical, administrative, and organizational assistance. Working with minimal supervision, this position helps drive departmental efficiency and ensures seamless operations. The position directly contributes to the productivity and overall success of Auxiliary Services as it supports the educational, research, clinical, and administrative functions across the College.
 
This position is onsite and located in the Texas Medical Center.

Job Duties

  • Purchases goods and equipment for use withing the department and college.
  • Composes formal and informal correspondence.
  • Scheduling.
  • Providing customer service.
  • Communicates with vendors, administrators, faculty, college colleagues, research assistants and students.
  • Uses proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage data, create pivot tables, perform analysis, and prepare reports.
  • Analyzes operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data management, pivot table creation, analysis, and reporting with a customer service focus.
