Summary
The Scott Department of Urology is is seeking a professional candidate to provide administrative and operational support to multiple faculty by, managing travel, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and surgery scheduling, to include post operative office visits, test and hospital and office procedures. The ideal candidate must exhibit exceptional communication and organization skills.
This position will be located in Sugarland, TX.
Job Duties
- Process and maintain credentialing for faculty at BCM and other healthcare institutions.
- Manage faculty reappointments and license renewals.
- Updates faculty CVs.
- Prepares memos, meeting agendas, general correspondence, graphs, and power point presentations.
- Manage outlook calendar for faculty.
- Manage travel arrangements and Concur reimbursements for faculty, including flights hotels and car service.
- Schedule TEAMS meetings.
- Coordinates peer to peer review and submits surgical appeals as needed.
- Coordinates with health care facilities for patient surgeries, tests, or procedures.
- Initiates and tracks prior authorizations.
- Serves as a liason between patient and surgical facility.
- Provides clear and concise information to patient (written and verbal) concerning surgery appointment.
- Communicates financial expectation to surgery patients.
- Coordinates and facilitates collection of pre-payment procedures.
- Communicates pre-operative and post operative instructions.
- Coordinates patients ancillary appointments.
- Assists with rescheduling clinic schedules as needed.
- Utilizes EPIC system for clinical, clerical and professional incidences.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Concur.
- EPIC and Q-Genda experience preferred.
- Experience working in a clinic setting.
