Summary
Neuroscience is seeking temporary administrative support for a period of 3 months. This position will support a time-limited project within the lab focused on the organization, digitization, and management of a large volume of physical documentation.
The anticipated work schedule is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, which aligns with core lab hours and ensures overlap with key personnel for collaboration and oversight.
This is a temporary position with a maximum assignment length of 3 months, and this position is not eligible for benefits.
Job Duties
- Sorts, organizes, and categorizes hard-copy documents.
- Scans and digitizes documents using high-speed scanners and document management tools.
- Names and tags scanned files according to standardized protocols to ensure consistency and retrievability.
- Uploads digital files to our internal shared drive system, ensuring proper folder structure and permissions.
- Coordinates with lab staff to identify and appropriately handle sensitive or confidential files.
- Enters relevant metadata into our internal tracking systems, including:
- Microsoft Excel for inventory logs.
- SharePoint for document sharing and version control.
- Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets) for collaborative documentation and cloud-based organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
