Summary

The student will increase visibility and awareness of clinic services among the target population by utilizing popular social media platforms. This individual will be an undergraduate student, a youth who would be able to better identify and replicate current social media trends to educate and increase awareness among other youth in the greater Houston area. The purpose is to increase awareness of clinics services, including reproductive and sexual health services which, in theory, will increase patient volume.

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.  

Job Duties

  • Researches and implements how to increase engagement with clients, potential clients and community members and organizations.
  • Develops and post entertaining content for social media on a consistent manner Collaborate via social media with health care and community resource organizations.
  • Graphics and captions Videos and captions (film videos).
  • Develops and posts Instagram Ads Engage BTHC clinic staff in social media posts as necessary.
  • Develops and post educational for social media with medical input.
  • Develops and implements Instagram Highlights.
  • Responds to Instagram DMs (answer basic questions and refer to other clinic staff as needed (for example, medical related questions)).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
